Rich Prado – Founder
Rich Prado founded Play In School in 2008 after several years in the classroom at both the middle school & high school levels. At the time he was also coaching travel baseball & doing private instruction. He has focused solely on Play In School since its inception.
Play In School originally only worked with players 1 on 1. While that is still an option, the travel teams insisted on Play In School filming all of their players. Hence the “team package” was born. That is also the reason that the “alumni” list has been removed from the website. The number of quality teams that partner with Play In School has made it impossible to keep up with where our “alumni” are landing. We are proud of every player that finds the “right fit” at any level. But the day we found out that kids we filmed had committed to South Carolina & Florida St in the same day we no longer felt the need to justify our value by posting “alumni”. We Tweet news of as many commitments as we can!
Rich was a standout high school baseball player in Richmond, Va. – earning All District, Metro, and Region awards as a second baseman at Varina High School. He was recruited by a number of Division I programs, but ultimately decided to attend The College of William and Mary as a non-scholarship player. He graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration in 2001.
